FUN WAYS TO EXPLORE THE PLETT WINELANDS

With over 16 wine farms stretching from Harkerville to the Crags, we are lucky to call the Plett Winelands home to our boutique wine farm, Kay and Monty. There are a multitude of ways to enjoy the local wine route – on horseback, by bus, by bike or by hike – take a look below for all the details.

HOG HOLLOW HORSE TRAILS

Our friends at Hog Hollow Horse Trails now offer an amazing wine tasting horse drawn carriage experience at Kay and Monty Vineyards! The 30-minute circular trail takes you around the estate with guides who will entertain you with fun facts and local history… all while you enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, two tastings and a snack on the carriage. Interested? Get in touch to find out how to book now.

KNYSNA HIKE & BIKE

Next time you are visiting, book a wine tour with Knysna Hike and Bike. They offer walking tours and cycling tours that explore a fantastic route through the local Crags vineyards. Added bonus? You get to taste some of the internationally acclaimed local wines along the way.

PLETT WINE TOURS

It’s also worth checking out Plett Wine Tours who offer winelands experiences tailored to meet the needs of both wine connoisseurs and the occasional wine drinker with tours that aim to educate you on the South African wine industry, viticulture, the step-by-step process of creating wine, while honing in specifically on the beautiful Plett winelands.

If you are in the area, pop in to the tasting room at Kay and Monty. On hot summer days enjoy a light lunch made up of locally-sourced fresh ingredients while enjoying the view. On colder days you can keep warm in the comfort of our two fireplaces. Head over here to make a booking.
