Here’s our Plettenberg Bay Winter Festival Guide.

The Plett ARTS Festival

Indulge your creative side at this year’s Plett ARTS Festival from 25 June – 9 July. From music to theatre, comedy shows to art exhibitions, there is so much to see and do. It is Plett’s anchor festival for the season – the perfect time to indulge in some wine, arts and culture and, of course, delicious food! Take a look at the line-up and pick the events you will support. Stay with us at The Old Rectory Hotel & Spa and get the full experience (beach, spa and all).

Taking place from 4–6 July is an event making its debut on the Plett Arts Festival programme this year – Afridocs. It features the best of African documentary and special guests include Don Edkins, Justice Albie Sachs and Richard Nwamba. It’s not to be missed! Find out more here.

Plett Food and Film

Plett Food & Film (29 June- 6 July) is another exciting event on The Plett ARTS Festival calendar. It focuses on showcasing wonderful cuisine and top notch entertainment. This year, two films will be featured – Pollock and Frida – and chefs will retell the stories of the highlighted feature films through food. They will prepare delicious meals that feature some of the finest local ingredients, creating a unique dining experience. Book your tickets in good time.

Knysna Oyster Festival

An absolute highlight of the year, The Knysna Oyster Festival is happening between 29 June – 8 July. The programme is as good as ever with the marathon, oyster festival and cycle tour being some of the key events and more than 100 activities spread over ten days. There will be no shortage of fun and it’s designed for the entire family. Stay with us The Old Rectory Hotel & Spa and pick and choose the events you’d love to join in on.

The Greenpop Festival of Action

During June and July each year, The Greenpop Festival of Action brings people together from around the globe to learn, connect, give back and get active. For the past six years, this event has taken place in Zambia and for the first time the Festival of Action is being hosted in the Eden District along the Garden Route from 23 June – 15 July. From planting trees and clearing alien vegetation to setting up recycling systems and celebrating with live music – there is something for everyone!
